President Donald Trump was asking a question from a reporter at Andrews' co-base when Mike suddenly hit him in the face. When the incident occurred, the reporter was quiet for a moment, then continued to ask the president questions.

A troublesome moment came as Trump was asking questions about kicking out more hostages from Gaza. He leaned down to listen to the reporter and the fuzzy covering microphone known as the “Dead Cat” helps to sniff the wind and knock on his lips and cheeks. The microphone operator can be heard apologise after hitting the president.

“She just made TV tonight,” Trump said after a brief gaze at the reporter. “She's just become a big story tonight, right?”

It is not clear who the microphone operator is or which outlets are working.

The incident quickly spread through word of mouth and received mixed reactions. Some found it interesting, while others saw it as a sign of disrespect.

“Make these people unrealistic. Give me some respect,” Charlie Kirk, founder and CEO of Turning Point USA, wrote in X's post.

Many Trump supporters praised his reaction to the situation, including Kirk, who said the president “treated it carefully.”

Earlier on Friday, Trump was seen stumbling down the Marines' stairs when his leg was caught as he was helping Elon Musk's 4-year-old son, xæa-12, onto an aircraft. The video quickly went viral, with many calling the president “Grandpa Trump.”
