Attorney General Pam Bondi stated that the Supreme Court would be involved in the deportation of approximately 300 migrants from Venezuela.
“Yeah, the Supreme Court will be involved,” she said on “Sunday Morning Futures” by Fox News. “This is out of control… a federal judge is trying to manage our entire foreign policy, but he can’t do that.“
The Trump administration is battling Judge James Boasberg, who attempted to halt the deportation of Venezuelan immigrants on March 15, who the administration claimed were members of the Tren de Aragua gang.
Boasberg ordered the planes to turn around or leave the United States if they were already airborne, which the administration argued the judges could not interfere with foreign policy and that the planes had already left the US by the time Boasberg’s order was issued.
The judge imposed the administration on the timing of the flight after the American Civil Liberties Union proposed in court that he ignore his court orders and deported immigrants anyway.
Bondi condemned Boasberg in an interview, stating that he had the right to national security information that he was demanding.
“We’re attractive. I’ll be in court again on Monday. I’ll win. I’ll win,” she said.
She previously stated that Boasberg “has no right” to ask the questions he requested.
President Trump, Bondi, and other Trump allies have denounced Boasberg and called for him and other judges to be fired, including Supreme Court Justice John Roberts, who last week publicly rebuked Trump in a rare move.
