Car goes airborne, crashes into California home: doorbell video

A doorbell camera in California captured a car flying through the air and crashing into a home last week.

According to Storyful, the accident occurred around 6:30 a.m. on April 4 in Jurupa Valley, California.

A black sedan was seen on camera speeding through a residential neighborhood, hitting a curb, jumping over two pickup trucks parked in a driveway and plowing into a home.

The car flew over the vehicles and into the garage door of the home, landing on top of one of the trucks.

The Riverside County Fire Department told Storyful the incident caused “significant damage” to the home.

The driver was able to get out of the car safely after the accident. First responders later arrived at the scene and the driver was taken to a hospital with “mild to moderate” injuries, the fire department said.

No one who was inside the home at the time of the collision was injured.

Richard Hernandez, who provided the doorbell video to Storyful, told the outlet that the driver was attempting to make a left turn at high speed before losing control and crashing into the house.
