Riverside County Sheriff Launches Gubernatorial Campaign Ad
Chad Bianco, the Riverside County Sheriff and a Republican hopeful for the position of California governor, is set to launch a new seven-figure television advertisement this Wednesday. The ad encourages voters to support strong leadership in the state.
“I’m running for governor because California needs leaders tough enough to stand up for us.”
Bianco criticized conventional politicians, claiming, “The typical politician doesn’t have the courage to tackle our big problems.” During his tenure as sheriff, he reflected on his record, stating, “I’ve deported drug dealers. I’ve locked up murderers and individuals who prey on vulnerable populations.”
He made several bold promises, including the elimination of California’s income tax, safeguarding women’s sports, and imposing life sentences for child sex offenders without parole. “I’m Chad Bianco, and I’m running for governor because California needs a leader tough enough to stand up for us,” he reiterated.
His campaign prioritizes issues like public safety, economic affordability, education, immigration, homelessness, and housing, claiming, “Chad Bianco is committed to restoring trust, protecting our communities, and creating opportunity for all Californians.”
In recent polling, Bianco received support from 14% of respondents, while another GOP candidate, Steve Hilton, attracted 16%. This comes amid a crowded Democratic field where contenders include former California Attorney General Xavier Becerra, who has seen a rise in approval ratings from 4% to 13% in a span of weeks.
With many voters still undecided, California’s primary election is approaching on June 2nd, with mail-in ballots expected to be sent out on May 4th. The two candidates receiving the most votes, irrespective of party affiliation, will move on to the general election in November.
