Chicago man walks Lake Michigan ‘ice pancakes’ in swim trunks

This week, a Chicago life coach braved single-digit temperatures to walk on an icy pancake on Lake Michigan. A chilling Instagram video showed.

George Donald Miller nimbly navigated the flat ice floes along North Avenue Beach in the Windy City on Wednesday morning, wearing only swimming trunks, gloves and socks.

He eventually fell to his knees and sank completely into the frozen lake.

Temperatures plummeted to 4 degrees Fahrenheit that day in Chicago. According to AccuWeather.

“This is a deep meditation and healing practice for me,” Miller says. Speaking to digital creator Craig Simaraalso shared the video.

“It helps a lot. I can ask my wife, I can ask my co-workers, I can ask my family about how exposure to cold water has affected me,” he added. “We know there is a risk involved, but the risk is actually very small,” he added. Compared to all the crazy things I've done in my life. ”
