Portnoy Critiques Biden and Media
Dave Portnoy, the founder of Barstool Sports, voiced strong opinions on social media recently, expressing frustration with Democrats and the media. He accused them of covering up former President Joe Biden’s mental decline during his inauguration.
In his post, Portnoy referred to Democrats as “absolute vegetables,” labeling the situation as “the biggest cover-up in American political history.” He shared his belief that Biden’s mental state had been evident for some time, mentioning instances like Biden falling off his bike and tripping on stairs as signs of his decline.
“I knew Biden was in rough shape,” he stated, highlighting how the president often froze during speeches. Portnoy elaborated that many Democrats appeared aware of Biden’s issues yet continued to support him, suggesting that they urged him to run simply to sidestep arguments with then-presidential candidate Donald Trump.
He pointed to video clips featuring prominent Democrats, like Chuck Schumer, and questioned their awareness of Biden’s condition. Portnoy also included CNN’s Jake Tapper in his critique, referencing a recent book co-authored by Tapper that discusses Biden’s alleged cognitive decline. “Even Jake Tapper mentioned it might be the media’s fault,” he remarked, recalling an interview where Tapper seemed frustrated over Biden’s capabilities.
Portnoy asserted that the responsibility for Biden’s predicament rests with the Democrats and media, referring to them as “nasty” for failing to be honest about the situation.
He posed a rhetorical question about who truly made decisions for Biden’s candidacy, asking if it was figures like Schumer, Pelosi, or even celebrity George Clooney. Portnoy labelled this as potentially the biggest political scandal in U.S. history.
Despite facing backlash for his support of Trump, Portnoy defended himself, stating that the criticisms against Trump and his supporters often paint them unfairly. “People stare at you like you’re a bad person if you vote for Trump,” he explained, contrasting his views with those of the opposing side, which he described as “the most bent organization ever.” In his opinion, Trump, in comparison, seemed almost virtuous.
Finally, Portnoy challenged those against him by asking about their own voting choices, emphasizing the polarized nature of current political discourse.
