Van Jones Discusses Biden’s Cognitive Decline on CNN
During a segment of CNN’s “coalition status” on Sunday, political commentator Van Jones expressed serious concerns about the long-term implications of Democrats allegedly covering up President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline.
Jones stated, “I’m honestly shocked. I care deeply for Joe Biden. Not just a casual like—I really love him. I had the chance to work alongside him during my time in the Obama administration, and my admiration grew every day. Seeing his current condition was a wake-up call, and I feel like I’m going to be dealing with the consequences of this massive cover-up for a long time.”
Host Jake Tapper raised the question, “What does this mean for Democrats now? Last week, we saw potential candidates for 2028, like Pete Buttigieg, Governor Whitmer, and Governor Pritzker. What are they saying?”
In response, Jones emphasized the need for introspection: “Before you rush out to persuade others, it’s essential to reflect internally.”
He added, “We must take a hard look in the mirror, eliminate bad actors and outdated ideas, and then we can start making progress in the medium term. For now, we owe an apology for not being more engaged.”
