Discussion on HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. by “The View” Hosts

On Thursday, the co-hosts of ABC’s “The View” strongly criticized Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., questioning his qualifications for the presidency after a contentious series of Senate hearings.

At one moment, co-host Joy Behar remarked, “Sometimes it feels like they’re trying to kill us” while discussing the administration’s policies.

Kennedy had appeared before both the Senate Finance Committee and the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee within two days, clashing with some lawmakers during the discussions.

This hearing took place against reports that the White House aimed to centralize control over the HHS and suggested that Kennedy should temper his public statements regarding national vaccine policy adjustments.

A significant portion of the testimony involved Kennedy’s ideas on artificial intelligence, where he proposed that AI could “revolutionize medicine” to the point of making the Food and Drug Administration irrelevant.

“I read about a dog with cancer whose owner used AI to create a personalized treatment that actually cured him,” Kennedy shared with the Senate committee.

Co-host Alyssa Farrar Griffin admitted she would go to great lengths to save her pets but raised concerns over using such anecdotes to shape federal policy, especially from someone she believes lacks the necessary credentials.

“This is our expert. Someone who doesn’t have a medical degree or scientific background,” Griffin stated.

She further highlighted a recent government decision to move away from specific mRNA research, asserting that the HHS is canceling $500 million in funding for this important area, which she believes has significant implications for treating pancreatic cancer.

“This has real-life implications,” she warned, stressing that the effects could resonate for years.

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg then shifted the conversation to government transparency, noting concerns that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention may be withholding key information regarding clinical trials.

The discussion took a darker turn as Behar suggested there may be more troubling motives behind the administration’s health care strategies.

She questioned, “You know, sometimes it feels like they’re trying to kill us?”

In response, Goldberg asked, “You think so?”

Behar then criticized Kennedy personally, referencing his past struggles. “Here is a man in charge of our health, a former heroin addict…He swam in sewage! Who would do something like that?” she exclaimed. “This is the person who is in charge of your health, America. We are in a lot of trouble.”

Fox News Digital reached out to HHS for a response but did not receive an immediate reply. The White House was also contacted for comment.
