Israel’s National Security Council issued a travel warning to its citizens planning to visit Paris for the Olympics, warning of terrorist threats and possible protests targeting Israeli athletes.
The message came as a video purportedly from a Palestinian terrorist group circulated online featuring a direct threat to the Olympics.
Remember when I said, “The West is next”?
H×mas released a video today threatening that “rivers of blood will flow in the streets of Paris” during the Olympics.
Take what they say seriously, because they mean what they say (as we learned the hard way).

Message from the National Security Council Said:
1. The Olympic Games will be held in France from July 26 to August 11, 2024, and the Paralympics will be held in France from August 28 to September 8, 2024.
2. The media attention that a “successful” terrorist attack during the Olympic Games would receive (potentially receiving extensive coverage in the international media), making such international events an attractive target for threats and attacks by terrorist groups. In this spirit, in recent months, global jihadist organizations, particularly the Islamic State, have called for terrorist attacks to be carried out during the Olympic Games against various targets, including Israel and Jewish people.
3. Local security forces recently arrested several terrorists who were planning to carry out terror attacks during the Olympics.
- A 16-year-old supporter of the Islamic State has been reportedly arrested for plotting a terror attack by detonating an explosive belt during the 2024 Olympic Games.
- On May 31, 2024, an Islamic State fighter (an 18-year-old Chechen) was arrested for planning a terrorist attack during the Olympic Games.
4. It is noteworthy that over the years since the Iron Sword War began, various terrorist organizations, especially Global Jihad, Hamas, and Shiite terrorist organizations (Iran, Hezbollah), have been relentlessly working to harm Israelis and Jews both in Israel and abroad. Since the war began, dozens of attempted attacks against Israelis around the world have been thwarted. It is our understanding that at least some of these organizations are also planning to attack Israeli/Jewish targets around the time of the Olympics in France.
5. There is also a high possibility of demonstrations and protests targeting Israelis and Israeli delegations during the Games. We advise you to avoid areas where such friction and demonstrations are likely to occur, which may escalate into violence.
6. French security forces are fully prepared to ensure the safety of the Olympic Games and its participants. However, a level 2 (potential threat) travel alert has been issued for France, as well as for several other European and international countries, and we recommend taking increased precautions in these countries. Please note that this message does not increase the current existing threat level.
7. In order to improve the response to Israelis visiting France during the Olympics, we encourage you to download the Home Front Command application so that you can receive real-time updates and messages from the NSC if an update is required or if the event requires it.

9. All travel warnings can be found on the NSC website at www.nsc.gov.il. If you have any questions please call the NSC at +972-2-666-7444.
At the 1972 Olympics in Munich, Germany, Israeli athletes were targeted by Palestinian terrorists, who killed 11 Israeli athletes and one German police officer.
Israeli President Isaac Herzog will lead the Israeli delegation in Paris, some of whose athletes will travel farther afield to take part in the event. Israeli surfing sensation Anat LeriolFor example, is scheduled to compete in Tahiti.
