Jake Paul addresses Joe Rogan's speculation about the MVP fight earnings exceeding $10 million.

Upcoming Netflix MMA Event Sparks Interest

The anticipated Netflix MMA event is on the horizon, and there’s a buzz surrounding how much it could generate in response to the UFC.

UFC commentator Joe Rogan even speculated on Jake Paul’s potential earnings after his Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) secured deals with notable fighters, including Ronda Rousey, Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz, and Mohammad Mokaev.

“Why did you ask? [MVP] Did you propose it to Diaz?” Logan asked. Brendan Schaub, a co-host on “The Joe Rogan Experience: Fight Companion Podcast,” chimed in, mentioning he heard Diaz was offered around $10 million.

“I’ve heard it’s more than that,” Logan responded. “That’s incredible.”

This is arguably one of the highest payouts for any fighter across all promotions.

Interestingly, Paul appeared skeptical when asked about the $15 million figure during a conversation regarding the upcoming all-female boxing event at Madison Square Garden.

In his remarks, Paul noted, “I think many figures in martial arts tend to be exaggerated. There are a lot of rumors circulating, but we want to ensure that our fighters earn well when they compete with us.”

Specific payment details for Diaz will be disclosed after the MMA event concludes on May 16th, which will be streamed live from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Ronda Rousey, at 39 years old, is one of the big draws for this card. She mentioned at a New York press conference that every fighter on the card will earn at least $40,000, a substantial boost from the UFC’s typical $10,000 base pay.

Paul also indicated that this event might just be the beginning. He expressed, “We aim to reshape earnings for fighters and want to build a new hub in the MMA landscape where compensation is significantly higher.”

“If the May 16th event is successful, I’m confident we can expect many more MVP MMA cards in the future,” Paul concluded.
