Controversy Surrounds Lindsay Clancy Trial Juror

The attorney for the juror who stood alone in the Lindsay Clancy trial claims his client is facing threats due to his decision not to find Clancy not guilty by reason of insanity. Clancy has admitted to murdering her three children.

This juror, identified as 48-year-old Michael P. Desronvil, was the sole holdout against the other 11 jurors as they sought to reach a verdict, according to a report by the New York Post on Saturday.

A fundraising campaign for Desronvil has amassed over $300,000, with his lawyer, Edward Paltzik, stating that the donations would help cover necessities following the death threats, doxxing, and harassment from what he called a “lunatic mob” that Desronvil has bravely endured.

A mistrial was declared when the jury failed to reach a unanimous decision on the case, which has attracted significant media attention, with reports suggesting this occurred on September 4.

Clancy confessed to strangling her three children—five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson, and eight-month-old Callan. The 36-year-old has claimed she was in a state of postpartum psychosis during the incident, while prosecutors contend she had planned the murders ahead of time.

Details reveal that Clancy used exercise bands to strangle her children in the basement of their home before attempting to take her own life by jumping from a second-floor window, resulting in her paralysis from the waist down. Her defense asserts she was compelled by voices urging her to kill the children as a means to end her own suffering, but the prosecution argues that she strategically sent her husband away on errands to carry out the murders, raising doubts about the authenticity of her suicide attempt.

Shockingly, thousands of women have rallied in support of Clancy, asserting that she should not be held accountable for her actions, as reported by Breitbart News.

Currently, Lindsay Clancy is being held at Tewksbury State Hospital in Massachusetts while the prosecution deliberates on the next steps in the case. Early indications suggest that a retrial may be pursued in the upcoming months.

Desronvil recently shared that his decision to conclude Clancy was guilty came from careful consideration of the evidence presented. He expressed concern that his fellow jurors appeared to act more like activists than impartial jurors.
