Murder Suspect Caught on Doorbell Camera
A man is in custody, facing murder allegations, after reportedly being captured on video shooting a shotgun at the front door of a home just hours before a fatal incident.
On May 16, footage supposedly shows 34-year-old Sean Hubbard firing a weapon from the entrance of a residence in Rock Hill, South Carolina. It’s notable that his face is clearly visible in the recording, although the gun appears to be concealed under a hooded sweatshirt or jacket.
At the time of the shooting, no one was inside the house. Later that evening, around 11 p.m., Hubbard allegedly returned and shot 19-year-old Kamaria Tidwell.
Hubbard, a resident of North Carolina, was apprehended in Rock Hill early Sunday morning, with reports indicating that a SWAT team was deployed to make the arrest.
Tidwell’s family has accused Hubbard of visiting their home the week before the murder and firing shots into their dwelling.
“He fired four shots into my son’s room while my son and grandson were sleeping,” Tidwell’s mother, Cifalnia McCullough, stated.
This alarming situation led Tidwell’s family to install a video camera, which captured the shooting that occurred on Saturday.
Tidwell’s brother, Caleb, mentioned that Hubbard had been “stalking” their family for the week leading to Kamaria’s death. “He’s been stalking me at my parents’ house the whole week. It was terrifying,” he said.
The conflict allegedly began when Tidwell’s cousin, Jamya McCullough, initially hired Hubbard to fix her car. However, when their business relationship soured, she decided to cut ties. “I told him I didn’t want him modifying my car anymore,” she explained. “He threatened me, so I blocked him right away.”
Hubbard now faces charges of murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and discharging a firearm into a dwelling. Jail records indicate he is being held without bond, and the York County Sheriff’s Office has not commented on the situation.
