One man was killed and another seriously injured after an argument got out of control and turned into an apparent stabbing on the Upper East Side Sunday afternoon, according to police and officials.
Police responded to a report of an assault at 232 East 95th Street around 1:30 p.m. and found the scene covered in blood.
The unidentified man had suffered trauma to his chest and neck, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the other unidentified man, 27, was still at the scene and suffered lacerations all over his body.
He was taken to New York Cornell Medicine in serious but stable condition.
Police recovered two knives and it is unclear who instigated the fight.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has not yet determined the victim's cause of death.
No arrests have been made and the investigation remains ongoing.
