In Fresno, a man was arrested after he was found hiding in the ceiling of a plasma donation center. Interestingly, he had no clothes on at all.
On Wednesday, Fresno police reported that they received calls about someone lurking in the walls and ceiling of the Grifols Biomat USA Plasma Center, located at Blackstone and Dakota.
The situation took a strange turn when a plasma donor noticed a pair of eyes peering down at him from above. Naturally, this prompted him to notify the staff, who quickly dialed 911.
When officers arrived, they discovered a 30-year-old man stuck up in the ceiling. He wasn’t exactly willing to cooperate; in fact, he resisted and had to be subdued before being taken into custody.
Despite police efforts to coax him down, he remained unyielding, even kicking objects from the ceiling, as they attempted to reach him.
As the situation escalated, the man tried to escape and tossed what appeared to be a pipe at one of the officers, narrowly missing his head.
The man continued to move around in the ceiling, causing damage and allowing water to leak into the building, creating quite a mess.
When he finally came down, police noted that he was completely naked.
Due to his refusal to follow commands, officers had to use a pepper ball to try and bring him under control.
He was taken into custody and later transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
The incident led to the evacuation of several businesses in the surrounding area, all due to the deployment of pepper spray.
According to reports from the Fresno Fire Department, around 41 people had to be evacuated from various businesses, including the plasma center, an insurance company, and a hair salon.
The man is facing multiple charges from the incident, which include felony vandalism, resisting arrest, and assault with a deadly weapon.
What remains unclear is why he was hiding up there in the first place.
