Maniac Shahboz Rajabboev accused of killing 4 relatives, including 2 kids, inside NYC home left building with bloody face, claimed he was on ‘shrooms’: DA

A deranged relative accused of brutally killing a family of four in a Brooklyn apartment claimed he was high on mushrooms after stabbing the mother and strangling his sister-in-law and her two young children and running from the home with blood streaming from his face, prosecutors said Sunday.

Shavoz Rajaboev, who is facing murder charges after his brother discovered the brutal crime scene in Bensonhurst on Friday night, told police he didn’t know what happened to his relatives, including his 5-year-old niece and 4-year-old nephew, because he had ingested mushrooms, according to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office.

At Radjaboev’s arraignment Sunday night, where he was ordered held without bail, Assistant District Attorney Tsyona Ransom said a secret witness who had just returned home saw the 24-year-old suspect “leaving the scene with blood on his face.”

“Witnesses went to the scene and saw the defendant’s mother lying on the ground with stab wounds to her neck and body,” Ransom said of the 56-year-old victim, Mavlyuda Fayzieva.

Witnesses called 911, while Radjaboev, who was wearing a white disposable coveralls during the court hearing, strangely called authorities to report there was a body in the home, Ransom said.

When emergency responders arrived at the scene they found three more victims – Makhtuna Hakimova, 27, Kamila Shakhkatava, 5, and Timur Shakhkatav, 4 – inside the home, wrapped in garbage bags, prosecutors said.

The children’s bodies were stuffed into a closet and Hakimova’s body was wrapped in a blanket and garbage bag and placed on the floor, according to the criminal complaint.

Prosecutors did not identify any witnesses, but a neighbor told The Post on Saturday that the suspect’s brother, who is married to Ms. Hakimova and the father of their two children, walked into the bloody scene.

“I don’t know what happened. I took two grams of mushrooms,” Radzaboev told police in a video statement, Ransom said at the arraignment hearing.

“It’s a very good family. They live together. It’s the mother, the father, the brother’s two sons, and the brother’s wife and her two kids,” the woman said. “It’s a very good family. But everybody knew him. He’s a narcotics officer.”

The defendant is charged with four counts of first-degree murder and four counts of second-degree murder.

Radjaboev was sent to prison ahead of his trial. He was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge in 2023, but the trial was postponed pending consideration of not indicting him.

Rajabouev’s lawyer, the Brooklyn Defender Service, declined to comment, but another neighbor previously told The Washington Post that Rajabouev had pleaded innocence to officers before he was arrested.
