On Thursday's Fox News Channel's “Story,” the Chief of Border Patrol Michael Banks said Mexico “has more troops on our southern border,” and continues to add more soldiers, contributing to the historically small number of the border.
host trace Gallagher asked.[T]His numbers at the border are very low, record low, historic low. Is that part of the reason you believe? Was it the people there who convinced the president?
The bank said, “So, yeah, we believe we see Mexico having a lot of troops on our southern border. It prevents illegal immigrants from reaching and even trying to cross the border. And while Mexico has worked with us, we continue to communicate with them as they continue to add additional soldiers to the border. But both you and Bill have it right, our numbers are historic low. I don't just contribute to Mexico, but we always have to have our partners involved, but it's Texas, our National Guard and our DOD resource. For me – for the first time in my career, you hear the words[s] The government-wide approach has always been used, but this is the first time I have seen a government-wide approach. Even US law firms have consequences for their misconduct. And honestly, that's all the combinations above that drive these numbers to be recorded low. ”
