MSNBC host Joy Reid has apologized after she was caught dropping an F-bomb into a hot mic, saying it was meant to be a “backstage chat.”

Reid was on his show Monday discussing the Republican response to the bipartisan border deal, which former President Donald Trump voiced opposition to.
But when Reade shared a video of President Joe Biden discussing South Carolina’s border bill, she made a gaffe that revealed her true opinion.
“If that bill were the law today, I would close the border right now and fix it right away…and Congress needs to do that,” Biden said in the video.
As Biden spoke, Reade could be heard laughing and saying, “We’re going to have another goddamn war,” before the audio on Reade’s microphone quickly cut out.
She later apologized on air, calling the incident a “backstage chat.”
“I was chatting while the clip was playing. As you know, we try to keep this show as close to PG-13 as possible, so for those of you who were listening to my behind-the-scenes chat, I would like to apologize,” she said. “We deeply, deeply apologize for this.”
The video then began circulating on social media, with many users saying the incident showed “how she really feels about Biden.”
“Wow, this hot mic moment!” Is this what Joy Reid really feels about Biden?” one X user said.
