A television producer from New Jersey, known for his work with networks like A&E, Comedy Central, and MTV, has been taken into custody. Authorities suspect he was secretly videotaping individuals in compromising situations and even creating AI-generated child pornography.
Brian Saracusa, aged 50 and a father of three, was arrested on Tuesday. Prosecutors indicated that he filmed a yet-to-be-identified adult multiple times while they were undressed, all without their consent.
According to Bergen County Attorney Mark Musella, Saracusa is also alleged to have been utilizing the Internet to both create and distribute “computer-generated” child pornography.
His past projects include working on the Comedy Central show “Charlamagne the God’s Honest Truth” and the podcast “I Love My Kid, But…,” as mentioned on his LinkedIn page. He includes in his bio that creating content should be an enjoyable process, whether it’s for television or digital media.
Saracusa allegedly also contributed to programs for British broadcaster ITV and had a role in the CNBC series “The Filthy Rich Guide.”
Cybercrime investigators conducted a search of his residence on Tuesday, concluding a multi-week investigation, prosecutors reported.
“The inquiry found that Saracusa had photographed and recorded adults in various stages of undress without their consent or knowledge,” noted Musella’s office.
Saracusa faces several charges, including distribution and possession of child sexual abuse material, production of deceptive visual media, and invasion of privacy.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office has not yet provided further details on the case.
