Reagan Would Have Hit Iran Before the First Missile Got to Israel

On Newsmax2 on Saturday, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani argued that the correct response to Iran’s attack on Israel would have been to attack Iran at the earliest possible stage of the attack.

Mr. Giuliani claimed that former President Ronald Reagan would have done so had he been faced with a similar situation.

“I really think we’re missing out on a historic opportunity here if we have a president like my old boss in the White House,” he said. “every time [when] I’m the mayor and I had to make a difficult decision. I used to say, “What would Ronald Reagan do?” We know what Ronald Reagan will do now. He would have attacked Iran before the first missile reached Israel. And he would have removed all the nuclear facilities that he could. He would have been looking for that opportunity for years. ”

“Now, we’ll take down their nuclear facilities. The traitors who run our government will say – they’ll say, ‘Oh, they’ll just rebuild the nuclear facilities again. That’s going to take 10 years. Also, if we really know what is going on inside Iran, if we attack them before they attack us, they will be destroyed. They are clearly a formidable enemy. No one would attack like this unless they were a huge coward. The best way to deal with a frightened enemy is to knock them out. The best defense is a bold attack. This is our chance to end the reign of terror we all wanted. ”
