Lisa Hochstein Turns Herself In for Spying Charges
Lisa Hochstein, known from “Real Housewives of Miami,” has turned herself in to Florida police after facing felony charges linked to allegedly spying on her ex-husband. This news comes from her lawyer announcing her surrender.
Reports suggest that a warrant had been issued for her arrest when she voluntarily went to Miami authorities, as part of a pre-arranged plan. Her lawyer, Jane Weintraub, emphasized that Lisa had “nothing to hide.” Legal documents allege Lisa “unlawfully and intentionally” intercepted communications involving her ex, Renee, among others, in an incident thought to have occurred in March 2023.
Back in January 2023, there were claims that Renee accused Lisa of placing a “wiretapping device” under her car in order to listen in on her phone conversations.
Interestingly, at the same time a warrant was issued for Lisa, her ex-girlfriend, Jodi Glidden, was arrested for the same charges. Court records indicate that the arrest took place while Lisa’s warrant was still active.
Authorities processed Lisa at the Miami-Dade County Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where she was held on a bond of $5,000. Meanwhile, Glidden has been released after posting bail and has pleaded not guilty, opting out of a personal appearance at her arraignment while requesting a jury trial.
Representatives for Lisa’s legal team, along with Glidden’s attorney, expressed the opinion that these matters should not be taken to criminal court. They argue it’s primarily tied to the contentious divorce proceedings between Lisa and Renee.
Renee initiated divorce proceedings in May 2022 after over a decade of marriage, and it seems that their relationship deteriorated quite rapidly, with much of their discord becoming public.
