Max Miller Addresses Alleged Death Threat
Ohio Republican Rep. Max Miller took to social media to detail an alarming incident he experienced, claiming it was a death threat against him and his family.
Miller, who is a Jewish Marine, shared a video in which he recounted how an individual, reportedly anti-Israel, attempted to get his attention while driving by waving a Palestinian flag.
“Some confused individuals thought it was a good idea to block my path when they couldn’t catch my attention,” he explained.
“It’s important to highlight this situation, especially given the current climate,” Miller stated. “If you have concerns with local officials, the correct course of action is to set up a meeting at our district offices. Attacking anyone over political disagreements is unacceptable,” he added.
He recounted the event, expressing gratitude that his daughter wasn’t in the car at the time of the occurrence. “This morning while driving to work, I faced an incident where some individuals decided to lie in the road, trying to get my attention,” Miller said.
He emphasized his commitment to combat anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, and other forms of hatred. “We know who you are. I spent the day in meetings and will continue to advocate for justice,” he remarked, assuring that reports had been filed with both Capitol Police and local law enforcement.
“We will ensure this individual faces consequences,” he concluded.
In a related note, House Democrat leadership jointly condemned attacks on Miller and his family, expressing relief that they are safe. “The increase in political violence in our country is alarming and cannot be overlooked,” their statement read. They called for immediate legislative measures to guarantee the safety of all representatives.
This incident comes just days after a similar violent attack on two lawmakers and their spouses in Minnesota, which tragically resulted in one death.
