Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) introduced a bill Thursday that would prohibit federal authorities from removing razor wire and other barriers from the U.S.-Mexico border.
Collins' move comes after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled earlier this week by a narrow 5-4 margin to give federal authority permission to do so. Texas Governor Greg Abbott, in a heated battle with President Biden's administration, has activated the Texas National Guard to stem the flow of migrants.
“President Biden is aiding and abetting illegal aliens who are flocking to our border and plundering our nation's resources,” Collins said in a statement, according to The Hill. “Why else would he try to stop Texas from returning them to Mexico?”
He added, “With the Supreme Court upholding the Biden administration's 'America Last' policy, Congress must support Governor Greg Abbott as he fights for the sovereignty of our states and our country.” Ta.

The Restriction of Restriction of Obligations to Raiders by Administrative Zealots (RAZOR) Act specifically prohibits federal agencies, such as Customs and Border Protection, from dismantling barriers erected by states.
Mr. Biden had ordered federal officials to cut razor wire that the state of Texas had installed in certain areas to prevent illegal crossings.

Despite the blow at the Supreme Court, Mr. Abbott continues to press ahead with his defiance of federal authorities. He issued a lengthy statement Wednesday declaring that the federal government has failed to honor its agreement with Texas by allowing millions of illegal immigrants into the country under the Biden administration.

“The U.S. executive branch has a constitutional duty to enforce federal laws that protect the states, including the immigration laws currently in place.” abbot said. “President Biden is refusing to enforce and even violate these laws.”
“James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the other visionaries who wrote the U.S. Constitution should not leave nations at the mercy of lawless presidents who do nothing to stop external threats. “I had foreseen that,” he added.
