Sweeney claims the man tried to shoot her because she was feeding cats at a cat shelter.

“To him, we’re working with the devil because we’re helping cats,” she added.

Sweeney said he told police the bullet barely grazed his head, but police told him they didn’t have enough information to take any action against the man. Police said they needed video evidence before they could take any action against the man.

“There was a big cat population here and then the cats started disappearing,” said Terry Hamill, founder of Community Animal Rescue Endeavor.

Hamill further claimed the man told her he would eat the cats he killed.

Another resident said the man denied killing the cat but acknowledged the devil theory.

“He said, ‘No, I’m not killing cats. Cats are evil spirits,'” Ken Clayton said.

“Obviously this guy needs to be stopped,” said another anonymous resident. “I think it’s illegal to harm an animal.”

Some reports say the man has a mullet.
