Surveys Indicate Strong Support for Trump’s Iran Operation ‘Epic Fury’ Among MAGA and GOP Voters

Trump plans to create a $12 billion stockpile of essential minerals.

Recent opinion polls during the ongoing military campaign against Iran reveal an overwhelming endorsement of President Donald Trump’s Operation Epic Fury, particularly among MAGA supporters and Republicans. A fresh Rasmussen Report poll shows that most likely voters believe the operation has been successful so far.

According to the Rasmussen poll, 61% of likely voters view the military actions against Iran as successful, with 35% rating it as “very successful.”

Interestingly, about 81% of voters are actively monitoring the conflict, and nearly half of them—49%—are doing so “very closely,” with support for this subset rising to 66%.

Support for the operation is significantly strong among Republicans and Trump supporters. Specifically, 81% of Republicans endorse the strategy, along with 56% of independent voters and 45% of Democrats.

Among those who voted for Trump in 2024, a striking 83% believe the strategy has been effective, contrasting sharply with only 40% of those who supported then-Vice President Kamala Harris.

The findings are positioning themselves against critics who argue that the military campaign is divisive, a notion that polling data has consistently contested since the operation’s inception.

CNN confirmed this sentiment on Tuesday, with data analyst Harry Enten highlighting surveys indicating that approximately 89% of Trump’s base supports military action against Iran. “Just 9% disapprove,” he remarked, emphasizing the strong backing among Republican constituents.

Recent findings from multiple polls reflect this same sentiment. For instance, an Economist/YouGov poll revealed that 87% of MAGA supporters approve of Trump’s approach to Iran, even noting instances where support has reached as high as 91% in some surveys.

This backing extends beyond just the recognition of the operation’s success; a McLaughlin & Associates poll indicated that 51% of likely voters agree with Trump’s decision to send troops to dismantle Iran’s nuclear missile program, while 41% are opposed. Support appears to rise as voters are reminded of Iran’s long-standing antagonism toward the U.S.

When asked about the justification for military action to protect current and future American lives, 57% of respondents agreed compared to 33% who disagreed. Notably, 87% of voters intending to support Republican candidates for Congress upheld this viewpoint, with undecided voters also leaning towards support, at a ratio of 51% to 29%.

Among independents, 46% felt military action was necessary, while 40% opposed it. Recent analyses have shown a stark contrast between Trump’s claims of division within his base and the prevailing public support for the operation reflected in the opinion polls.

An Al Jazeera piece noted that despite claims of divided opinions, strong support for the operation remains within Trump’s base. Similarly, a Wall Street Journal article emphasized that a significant majority of Trump voters back U.S. military action against Iran, further dispelling the notion of a rift within MAGA supporters.

With Operation Epic Fury now in its third week, polling indicates that Trump retains substantial backing from his MAGA base and Republican cohort, with a majority of likely voters asserting that the operation has been effective.
