The de facto US ambassador to Taiwan has warned that the rest of the world needs to prepare for an “alliance” between China, Iran and Russia.
This comes days after Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the three authoritarian countries are working together but are not an “axis” as they are often called these days.
“Whether it's the Axis or the Alliance, it's true that our two countries are working together,” Alexander Yui, Taiwan's representative to the United States, told Fox News this week.
“And you know, everyone is free to define that. But there were definitely signs, signs that they were working together.”

During the interview, Yui also suggested that the Taiwanese government is in touch with both Vice President Harris and former President Trump's inner circle to prepare for what happens next in relations with the United States.
“The whole world is watching, and I think the diplomatic community here in Washington, D.C., is also watching closely. [trying] To reach out to both candidates or people around the candidates,” Yui said.
Blinken writes op-ed diplomatic magazine The report said on October 1 that the world's powers are competing to set the stage for a “new era” in international relations.

“A small number of countries, mainly Russia and China with the help of Iran and North Korea, are determined to change the fundamental principles of the international system. “All these groups want to establish authoritarian rule at home and claim spheres of influence abroad,” Biden administration officials wrote.
“While these countries are not Axis powers and the administration has made clear that it does not seek bloc conflict, the choices that revisionist forces are making require us to act decisively to prevent that outcome. It means that.”
Meanwhile, national security hawks on the right and left warn that these four administrations are forging an unholy alliance not seen since World War II.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-Louisiana) and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) both called them a new “axis of evil.”
