Trump marks Memorial Day by criticizing 'Democrats, RINOs, and Fools'

Trump’s Memorial Day Rant

WASHINGTON – President Trump began Memorial Day with a trademark passive-aggressive message directed at his adversaries, criticizing “all the Democrats, partisans, and idiots who are clueless about the deal I might be negotiating with Iran.”

He started his holiday commentary earlier than usual, posting around 6:18 a.m. ET.

“Happy Day of Remembrance to all those who’ve disrespected our military and the successes of the past year, especially those Democrats. God bless those who’ve made the ultimate sacrifice. I love you all!” he shared on a social platform.

This post followed shortly after detailing the challenges he’s encountered in talks with Iran, where he also targeted Republican critics and referred to Democrats in a dismissive tone.

President Trump devoted much of his weekend to discussions regarding Iran, with negotiations ongoing. While a concrete deal wasn’t finalized, there’s optimism that a preliminary agreement might materialize soon.

“I laugh at the Democrats, the partisans, the idiots who don’t understand the deal with Iran that hasn’t even been negotiated yet,” he commented.

He highlighted the defeats of Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-Louisiana) and Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) while taking aim at Sen. Thom Tillis (R-North Carolina) and many Democrats who have voiced disapproval of the negotiations.

“These people should just go home and rest; all they do is cause division and loss. In simpler terms, they are losers!” he asserted. “Either the deal with Iran will be significant and beneficial, or there will be no deal. We will not replicate the disaster of the past JCPOA negotiated by the Obama administration.”

As rumors of an imminent deal circulated over the weekend, Trump administration representatives later emphasized that any agreement might take days to finalize, citing the slow review process in Iran. Meanwhile, Trump instructed his team not to rush into any conclusions.

The proposed framework has caused concern among Republican hawks who believe it may be too lenient toward Iran, while some Democratic critics argue it bears resemblance to the Obama-era Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Continuing on, a senior official expressed confidence that Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had consented to a “broad template” for a peace plan that includes Iran agreeing to dispose of enriched uranium “in principle.”

Throughout his presidency, Trump has used significant holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas to indirectly critique his opponents while extending holiday wishes.

Later in the evening, he is scheduled to attend a wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington Cemetery to honor fallen American soldiers.
