Incident Involving Conservative Activist in D.C.

A recent video has surfaced showing a physical altercation involving conservative activist Cam Higby in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night. The incident reportedly took place close to Union Station.

According to reports, four federal officers had to restrain the woman involved, who was subsequently placed in a police vehicle.

Higby, who is known as a political commentator and journalist, was engaged in a public debate as part of his “Bold and Fearless” tour, inspired by Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA. Reports from U.S. Parks Police indicate they responded to a “dispute” outside Union Station around 8 p.m.

Following the incident, Higby shared on social media, “The left decided to physically attack me at Union Station tonight.” He later noted that at one moment, the woman fell to her knees and began screaming while physically engaging with him and others.

In footage shared online, Higby appears to be defending his “Make America Great Again” hat from the woman, who evidently tried to take it. As tensions escalated, Higby was reportedly shoved from his chair to the ground.

The video depicts the woman throwing the hat and then declaring, “Silly and stupid b***h” before falling into nearby bushes. Higby later used pepper spray to defend himself, stating it was effective in preventing further aggression.

When U.S. Parks Police arrived, the woman allegedly resisted arrest. Higby mentioned that her father was present, visibly upset and questioning why the officers had sprayed his daughter, to which Higby responded that she was kicking and fighting.

Ultimately, officials needed the assistance of multiple officers to subdue her and take her into custody. During the altercation, the woman accused Higby, saying, “You are evil, you are violent. You are not a Christian.” As she was being handcuffed, she shouted threats about revenge.

The U.S. Parks Police later confirmed that the woman was facing several charges, though specifics were not disclosed. They also did not provide commentary regarding the incident when requested.

Higby mentioned he plans to always carry pepper spray, believing it showed restraint on his part given the circumstances. He reflected on how the encounter highlighted the ongoing issue of political violence, referencing a previous attack he experienced during a protest in Seattle, where he suffered injuries despite wearing protective gear.

In that past incident, Higby had to visit the emergency room due to a concussion and other injuries, for which a suspect was arrested and charged with felony assault.
