WASHINGTON — The White House promised Tuesday that Iran would face “significant consequences” for Tuesday's ballistic missile attack on Israel, but gave no details on what those would be.
National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan told reporters that the Pentagon had indicated that the U.S. destroyers USS Cole and USS Balkery fired about a dozen interceptor missiles at Iranian projectiles. , said the United States helped Israel successfully counterattack some 180 missiles launched by Iran toward the Jewish state.
