The Georgia Bureau of Investigation statement“On June 14, 2024, the Greene County Sheriff's Office asked the GBI to investigate allegations of sexual contact between a student from Siloam, Georgia and a former Natanael Green Academy teacher.”
The GBI declared that the investigation had “confirmed” that Brown had engaged in illegal sexual contact with students while he was a teacher at Natanael Green Academy.
At the time of his arrest, Brown was a teacher at an elementary school in nearby Wilkes County.
Mauldin's GBI investigation revealed that former Natanael Green Academy teachers were engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with students.

“These women used my position as teachers.”
Ashley Mitchell, the victim's lawyer, told Banner Herald that sexual abuse occurred on and off campus.
The paper said, “It is said that the two former teachers who recently accused of having sexual relations with students at a private Christian school in Greene County recently knew they were involved with the same student,” the victim's lawyer said Tuesday.
The lawyer said other students at the school had exposed the alleged sexual scandals of the teacher.
“We had some students who were knowledgeable,” Mitchell said. “We had a situation where students were reporting it to their families and we ended up heading to the Greene County Sheriff's Office.”
Greene County Sheriff Donnie Harrison said Monday that he forwarded the complaint to the GBI.
Mitchell said the complaints were provided to school administrators.
“Their claim is that they investigated it and didn't find any fraud,” Mitchell said of the administrators of Natanael Green Academy.
“The GBI and law enforcement did a thorough and hardworking job. This was not a rushing process,” Mitchell added.
Mitchell argued that school officials previously cited one of the teachers for inappropriate behavior with students, but did not name which teachers.
Mitchell suggested there could be more casualties and more suspects.
“There's information that suggests that potentially other teachers may be involved in other victims,” Mitchell said.
Mitchell added, “This is a classic case of predators that have access to children and are not as monitored.”
The anonymous accuser said in a statement obtained by WXIA-TV“I was relieved that these two women have been arrested and the crime has been fully investigated.”
“These women used my position as teachers. My school didn't protect me as a child,” the victim said. “I'm watching it now and hope that these arrests will protect our community and the children within it.”
On Monday, Wilkes County Schools said in a statement Officials at the school were unaware of Brown's arrest until she was taken into custody. The school system confirmed that as of Monday the school no longer employs Brown.
The Wilkes County school system said it is “ready to work with” with the GBI in its investigation into child sexual abuse allegations.
