Transcripts Reveal Trump Spent More Than 13,400 Minutes Speaking in 2025, Addressed Media at 74 Percent of Events

President Trump’s Speaking Engagements in 2025

President Donald Trump delivered over 2.57 million words at transcribed events in 2025, interacting with reporters at approximately 74 percent of these events, as indicated by data analyzed by Breitbart News.

These words were recorded across 495 transcripts last year, averaging about 1.4 transcripts daily, with a total speaking time exceeding 13,400 minutes, according to information from the White House Office of Stenography. If you think about it, the time he spent speaking could equal reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone 33.5 times, his own bestseller Trading Techniques 23.9 times, or War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy 4.4 times.

It’s worth noting that this data does not capture untranscribed interviews or comments made at private functions.

White House Assistant Press Secretary Liz Houston stated, “President Trump is the most transparent and approachable president in American history.” She contrasted him with his predecessor, claiming Trump consistently takes open-ended questions from the media.

Houston also pointed out that Trump engages daily on his Truth Social account about significant national issues, which she believes provides Americans with an authentic connection to their president like never before.

In 2025, Trump engaged with the media at three out of four recorded events. The nearly 500 records included 231 events outside of Washington, D.C., taking place in 18 countries, 22 states, and 83 cities.

The recordings consisted of 161 presidential statements, 165 press sprays, 15 general gags, and 15 press conferences. Trump answered questions from reporters at 42 remark events, 134 sprays, all general gags, and 14 press conferences.

During his travels, he frequently addressed the press. The time spent traveling—whether outdoors, on Marine One, or Air Force One—yielded 108 records. He made 31 gags outside Air Force One and responded to questions at 28 of those gatherings, while also having 42 interactions on Air Force One where he addressed reporters 41 times.

Of the 165 presidential sprays, 55 occurred during bilateral meetings, 36 at signing events, 24 in roundtable discussions, and 50 were categorized as general sprays.

The longest transcript from Trump’s 2025 events reached a staggering 38,593 words over 113 pages. This marks the longest record since tracking began in 2017 during the Trump administration. The data indicates that presidents addressed reporters and the public on 78 percent of calendar days and 83 percent of workdays in 2025.

Transparency and media accessibility have been key attributes of Trump’s presidency. For instance, there was a moment when I received a call from him early one Saturday morning—just after 4:30 a.m.—after his administration successfully executed Operation Absolute Resolve, which aimed to capture former Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro.
