Reactions to Scott Adams’ Passing
The recent news of Scott Adams’ death on Tuesday was met with immediate backlash from left-wing media, which criticized the conservative cartoonist and author. In contrast, a number of conservative figures quickly stepped up to defend him.
President Donald Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance both praised Adams, highlighting his commitment to conservative principles, particularly during challenging times. Trump expressed his sorrow, stating, “Sadly, the great influencer Scott Adams has passed away. He was an amazing person… He will be truly missed. God bless Scott!”
Similarly, Matt Walsh from The Daily Wire shared his thoughts, suggesting that the criticism from some people was somewhat revealing. He argued that it’s a compliment in its own way to have detractors celebrate one’s death. “The greatest fear is to die and be forgotten,” he remarked, contrasting this with the fate of those who might gloat over such losses.
J.D. Vance also took to social media to honor Adams, referring to him as “a true American original” and an ally to the President. He added, “We lost one of our best players, but we will never forget him.” Greg Gutfeld from Fox News expressed his gratitude, saying, “You changed more lives and made the world infinitely better. God bless you.”
Mike Cernovich made a poignant point about Adams’ courage, reflecting on the financial gains he could have pursued but chose to stand firm for his beliefs instead. “He chose courage and died surrounded by the love of tens of millions,” he stated.
Elon Musk shared Adams’ last message, which hinted at a spiritual conversion. In it, Adams described his acceptance of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, noting the appealing nature of this new belief system as he faced his mortality.
Scott Adams passed away after battling metastatic prostate cancer, a diagnosis he revealed about a year prior. By early January, he indicated that his condition had worsened significantly, leaving little time ahead.
