A Florida woman was arrested following a chaotic road rage incident that allegedly involved her punching a pregnant driver, assaulting an elderly bystander, resisting arrest, and even biting a police officer, according to various reports.
Mandolin Schafer Brockwell, 37, was seen causing a scene on a busy road in Orlando, near the Mall of Millenia, on February 23. The Orlando police shared footage of the bizarre event on social media, highlighting the wild behavior.
In the disturbing video, Brockwell can be seen leaping out of her white Kia, rushing toward a white SUV, and trying to jump onto its hood before forcibly opening the driver’s door and striking a woman inside.
The victim, who was visibly shaken and wet from the encounter, informed Brockwell that she was pregnant and had a child in the car. The confrontation reportedly started when the victim honked at Brockwell, who had abruptly changed lanes and suddenly stopped her vehicle, prompting the honk.
During the incident, a 68-year-old woman at a nearby traffic light witnessed the altercation and attempted to step in. However, Brockwell reacted aggressively, instructing the elderly woman to return to her car and scratching her face in the process.
Footage captured the moment Brockwell swiped at the elderly woman, while another man tried to intervene. In the background, an anxious woman was seen running back to her vehicle, shouting in fear.
After the confrontation, Brockwell sped away, but when law enforcement caught up to her, she didn’t go down quietly. When an officer attempted to apprehend her, she bit him on the arm as he pushed her to the ground, with body camera footage capturing the tense moment.
“Don’t bite!” the officer called out as Brockwell shouted, “Get away from me!”
Backup officers arrived, and together they managed to subdue Brockwell and took her into custody.
Brockwell now faces multiple charges, including assault on a person over the age of 65, aggravated assault on a police officer, robbery of a transit system, and resisting arrest with violence.
