Trump Unveils New Color for Reflecting Pool on National Mall

President Donald Trump has announced the new color scheme for the reflecting pool at the National Mall, describing it as “Stars and Stripes Blue.” This choice, he believes, will resonate with many Americans.

During a recent press gathering in the Oval Office, Trump explained that he originally envisioned a turquoise hue, inspired by the Bahamas, when he first thought about renovating the pool. He commented on its poor condition, stating it needed attention. However, a pool contractor he trusts persuaded him to consider a different color.

“When he asked me what color I’d prefer, I mentioned turquoise. But he interjected, ‘This is Washington, sir. We can do turquoise, but why not try our ‘American Flag Blue’?’ That instantly became my favorite,” he recounted.

Trump also noted that he is collaborating with Interior Secretary Doug Burgum on this project, part of broader beautification efforts across Washington, D.C., which he claims were neglected under the Biden administration.

“Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum and I are committed to cleaning up the filthy reflecting pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument,” Trump stated, adding that this task should have been undertaken by the previous administration.

In an Oval Office address this week, he showcased photos detailing the pool’s renovation progress, expressing optimism that everything would be completed within three weeks. “The end result will be a beautifully reflecting pool, far superior to what we’ve had,” he said.

Trump continued to engage with the media, inviting them to witness the developments firsthand, describing the project as “exciting.” He confidently remarked that it would be achieved efficiently and beautifully, affirming, “And it will be Star-Spangled Blue.” He ended with an invitation for any questions.
