On Friday's broadcast of Fox Business Network's “Kabuto: Coast to Coast,” Trenton, N.J., Mayor Reed Gusciora asked when Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) would send immigrants to the city. He criticized the state of Texas for not issuing a warning. Although he received no notification when much larger groups of immigrants entered the state, all Abbott has to do is make a phone call and say, “Two wrongs don't make a right.” insisted.
Gusciora said:[S]sent out 659 migrants since Saturday [of] Buses run late at night from 4am to 7am. Most were on trains bound for New York, and some said they had family in the Trenton area and decided to stay in the capital. We don't have the resources to take care of their shelter needs, food needs, medical needs. So I agree with the governor that the Legislature really needs to get back to work, and we can do it in a bipartisan manner. This is truly a national crisis that Congress needs to address. ”
He added: “I'm just frustrated that we weren't notified. If we're really trying to do the right thing, the least they could do is give us notice so we can see how the immigrants are doing.” We just need to be able to see for ourselves.”
Then host Neil Kabuto interjected and said, “Mayor, I understand that, but there's no notice in Texas, there's no notice in Arizona. We've been dealing with this at 100 times, 1000 times, 10,000 times what we're dealing with.”
Gusciora said, “All Greg has to do is pick up the phone and call us. Two wrongs don't make a right.”
