Biden Telling Israel Not to Respond ‘Encourages Iran’

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union” that President Joe Biden’s direction to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to respond to the attack is “encouraging Iran.” Stated.

Anchor Jake Tapper said, “We’re waiting for your reaction to this attack. Iran has already warned that if Israel retaliates, Iran will respond even more harshly.” You said this is the most dangerous time for Israel, what do you think Israel should do?

“I’m not the one who was attacked by 300 rockets, missiles and drones, so I’m not going to tell Israel what to do,” Rubio said. I know that Israel has a very clear military doctrine. In other words, they have survived by responding to attacks with more harshness. This is because the Jewish state was attacked from multiple directions from multiple countries soon after its founding, and it has continued unabated ever since. Throughout their history, they have faced constant threats to their existence. In fact, a jury is defined by it. So they made a decision based on military doctrine that attacks on Israel would be met with a disproportionate response. That is why situations like 1973 and 1967 did not happen again. ”

Rubio added: “What I don’t understand is why Joe Biden and his administration leaked to the media the contents of a conversation in which Netanyahu said he didn’t think he should respond at all. That’s it,” he added. This is a continuation of the public game they’re playing, openly encouraging Iran and Hezbollah and the Houthis and all the other forces that target Israel, which we haven’t talked about. ”
