Ben Affleck’s ‘calm’ rant during Tom Brady’s roast confused people.
In a three-hour Netflix special that aired Sunday, Affleck spent nearly six minutes in front of a microphone criticizing fans of the retired football quarterback.
One social media user wrote: “Ben Affleck’s nonchalant rant about fans on social media during Tom Brady’s roast was not on my bingo card.”
The “Gone Girl” star talked about the mean comments she has had to read from “fans” online, rather than sports stars or other players mocking Brady.

Affleck said, “The fans are rooting for you.” “You guys out there talking behind your fucking keyboard aren’t fans. Then you’re B.”
“I can’t think of a more deranged, dysfunctional, and horrible work system designed to make people feel constantly awful,” he added.

User X deemed Affleck “the worst performance of the night.”
One user added: “Ben Affleck is an example of how sometimes fame and fortune don’t really, really make you happy.”
“Ben Affleck is killing this roast like he killed the Batman series,” someone joked.

Brady spent his fair share of criticism for his divorce from supermodel Gisele Bündchen.
