A California man was arrested Saturday after authorities said he randomly punched two elderly victims in separate incidents and then casually took a photo after one of the incidents.
According to the Campbell Police Department, suspect Nicholas Hosteter, 25, has been identified as a suspect in two separate attacks on elderly men in Campbell this month.
In the first incident on May 4, Hosteter allegedly beat the victim on San Tomas Aquino Street and then fled the scene, police said.
However, the suspect stopped and posed casually on the sidewalk while the victim took a photo in an attempt to identify him. Police published the photo on social media and asked the public to help identify the suspect.

Police say the second random attack happened Friday morning when a 75-year-old man was out walking in Campbell.
Hosteter allegedly punched the victim in the face near Inwood Drive and Elam Avenue.
Police said when the 75-year-old man and his family returned to the area a short time later to look for security footage, they encountered Hostator again, who then attempted to wrestle with the family before leaving the area, police said.

Officers immediately began searching the area and quickly identified Hosteter as a suspect.
Police contacted Hosteter’s parents Saturday morning and, with their help, Hosteter left the home and was arrested without incident.
Police said Hosteter was also charged with one additional count of assault on a police officer after he allegedly kicked an officer during his arrest on two counts of elder abuse. (Campbell Police Department/Facebook)
Authorities said Hosteter kicked an officer while being booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on two counts of elder abuse. Hosteter was also charged with assaulting a police officer.
