Democratic strategist James Carville said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that President Joe Biden should tell former President Donald Trump that he would agree to a pre-debate drug test if Trump would submit to a “rabies test.”
“From what I’ve read about his debate prep, I think it’s thorough. From what I know about the people who are informing him, they’re very knowledgeable, very experienced. I think he’ll be very well prepared. He’ll have to wait for Trump. Trump will start by taking a drug test and then they’ll say, ‘Yeah, if I take a rabies test,’ and then Trump will do something,” Carville said. “I’m going to introduce a new phrase into our vocabulary here. Trump will ramble on. That’s a fact. And understand that. He’s going to talk things out of ignorance, he’s going to try to get out of a jam. He’s going to ramble on and say nothing. Be prepared for that. You don’t have to react to that.”
She added, “Trump agreed to all these rules. Now he’s going to say it’s all against me, but these are the rules you agreed to. I can’t believe he’s doing this, but he’s doing it. And that’s what matters.”
