‘I Thank God Trump Is Alive’ After Bloody Shooting

The Rev. Franklin Graham thanked God on Saturday that former President Donald Trump wasn’t killed after gunfire erupted during a rally in Pennsylvania, sending him rushing off the stage covered in blood.

The suspect was shot and killed by Secret Service agents, and at least one other person in the crowd was reportedly killed as well, according to Breitbart News. Two others were reportedly seriously injured.

In a subsequent post, Graham wrote: Said Graham was praying for the others injured in the incident and the families of those who lost their lives. “We are also praying for the others injured at today’s rally and the families of those who lost their lives,” Graham wrote. According to Breitbart News, the Trump campaign said “Trump is OK” after an image was released of Trump with blood running down his face.

“President Trump thanks the police and emergency responders for their swift action in response to this heinous incident. He is in good health and is being examined at a local medical facility. More details will be released at a later date,” the campaign said.

It’s worth noting that Breitbart News reported on Saturday that “Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.), leader of then-Speaker Rep. Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) now-disbanded Select Committee on January 6th, has introduced a bill in April 2024 that would target former President Donald Trump and strip him of Secret Service protection if he is convicted.”
