A virtual rally scheduled for Monday night titled “White Men Support Harris” aims to rally support for Vice President Kamala Harris among white men, but has been widely mocked and criticized on social media.

“More than 10,000 white men from across the country are expected to join the movement this week to welcome Vice President Harris to the presidential race and pledge to help support her election,” the group’s registration form said.

“We will not stand by and watch while the MAGA crowd intimidates other white men into voting for their hateful and divisive ideology, because we understand that under MAGA, everyone loses,” the document continued. “As white men, we recognize that we must play a strong, positive role in America’s shared future, and that starts with all of us rejecting the MAGA drivel and reminding those who have appropriated our symbols what America really means.”

The “White Dudes” gathering will take place after separate virtual rallies for white women, Black women and Black men. Other demographic calls in support of Harris, the presumptive Democratic nominee, also include South Asians and LGBTQ+.

Conservative radio host Jason Luntz believes “condescending” meetings are more likely to fail for white men.

“There’s nothing more ‘progressive’ than a self-hating white guy with low self-esteem, a man bun and a degree in gender studies from SUNY Binghamton thinking that if he signs up for this cringey stuff he might make his first black female friend and maybe even a date. This falls under ‘trying too hard’ and is likely to backfire because it’s too desperate,” Luntz told Fox News Digital.

Social media was quickly flooded with memes mocking “white men supporting Harris,” with many suggesting that those taking part were soft, weak men.

“This will be the most beta gathering in history,” responded one critic.

Liberal “Star Wars” actor Mark Hamill posted on X that he would be speaking alongside other progressives, including Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and “Frozen” star Josh Gad. Popular X account Bart Macklin joked, “Luke, what do you think the Jedi Council would think about you joining such a segregated group?”

The virtual rally has also been described as “racist” and “nasty.”

“To you guys it’s all about race,” another critic posted.

White Dudes for Harris’ registration form does not specify whether non-white men are allowed to join, but the group’s official social media accounts have reposted a message asserting that “everyone is welcome.”

White Dudes for Harris posted on X that more than 75,000 people had registered for the virtual call, and the group had raised $325,000 as of early Monday morning. The group hopes to reach 100,000 participants by the start time of 8 p.m. ET.

Many others also condemned and mocked “White Dudes for Harris” on X.
