Nedorosic made headlines during the Olympics in late July as she waited for her chance to secure a spot on the podium with her performance on the pommel horse in the team final.

The cameras at the Paris Olympics repeatedly showed Nedorosic mentally preparing for his competition. No, he wasn’t sleeping. He watched teammates Frederick Richard, Brodie Malone, Paul Judah and Asher Hong compete in other events. All Nedorosic needed was the pommel horse.

He also captured the attention of the audience as he transformed into Superman (removing his glasses like Clark Kent) before collapsing to the floor.

The Penn State engineering graduate was well aware of the photos of him circulating on the Internet at the time.

“The memes are so funny, I love them all,” Nedorosic told The Associated Press in Paris.

“I’d have some fun with it. I’m scared they’ll fly away,” Nedorosic, who has an eye condition called coloboma, told the hosts. “Maybe I could make a gadget and keep my glasses on? Maybe new glasses, to go with the theme?”
