Actor Ben Stiller's support for Vice President Kamala Harris, saying her candidacy had brought “change” to the Democratic Party, has received mixed reactions online.
“I'm really excited to move forward. I'm really excited about the energy and excitement surrounding this movement right now,” Stiller said. Video Interview The message, posted by journalist Nicholas A. Barassy and which has since gone viral, reads: “I'm here because it's time for change, and it seems like it's happening.”
Stiller and other Hollywood celebrities, including actor George Clooney, have endorsed Harris as the Democratic presidential nominee to succeed President Biden.

When asked whether Harris could maintain her momentum after the Democratic National Convention, Stiller said she could.
“Certainly,” he said, adding that the election “will be close, but everyone is motivated to put in the effort and make it happen.”
“She and Tim Walz are really great candidates,” Stiller said.
Barrassy posted a video of the interview with Stiller on his account on Wednesday, where it quickly went viral and drew criticism from some political commentators.
“Actor Ben Stiller says he'll vote for the vice president. [Harris] “Because now is the time for CHANGE,” he wrote.
“It's unbelievable. [Stiller] Vote [Harris] “The desire and excitement for change from the current regime,” Canadian professor Gad Saad wrote, “is an infested mind facing a terminal illness in human rationality.”
“Nothing is changing,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote on Wednesday. “We now have a literal Biden-Harris administration. Why didn't she ask for any change for the last 4 years???”

Hollywood played a key role in Harris' rise from Biden's running mate to a top Democratic contender.
Clooney called on Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race in a July 10 op-ed in The New York Times, after Biden later withdrew from the race in July and endorsed Harris.
“President Biden has demonstrated what true leadership is. He is once again saving our democracy, and we are all so excited to do all we can to support Vice President Harris in her historic challenge,” Clooney said in a statement to CNN's Jake Tapper.
