President Donald Trump's policies will result in higher wages for American voters, Sen. J.D. Vance repeatedly promised during the vice presidential debate.
“Donald Trump has delivered to the American people a lot of things that he frankly never thought he could deliver, including higher wages, higher take-home pay, an economy that works for ordinary Americans, and a secure southern border.” '' said Vance, who opposed Trump before the 2016 election.
“When Donald Trump was president, inflation was low, take-home pay was high, and he literally saved the people.” [healthcare] “It's the plan of a crumbling Democratic administration, and it would have fallen apart without his leadership,” Vance said.
All told, the populist-leaning Mr. Vance mentioned wages and salaries more than 10 times during the debate. This is a notable change from many previous campaigns in which established Democrats and Republicans have refused to offer people higher salaries in exchange for their votes.
In contrast, Democratic candidate Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) has promised to provide even more federal aid through government agencies, taxpayers and nonprofit organizations. For example, Walz touted the Democratic Party's child care plan by saying: “In places like Minnesota, when a child is born; [government] meal, they get [government] When you receive early childhood education, [government-funded] health care. “
But Vance promised that Trump's trade policies would raise wages for whatever purpose Americans want. The number of American workers — unless our country stands up for itself and says that unless we pay middle-class Americans a fair wage, they won't have access to our markets. ”
Vance added that immigration enforcement is “very beneficial to workers who just want to do a good day's work and earn a fair wage.”
Trump tax cuts will raise wages, he said, “Tim has freely admitted that he wants to repeal the Trump tax cuts, but what was so different about the Donald Trump tax cuts from previous Republican tax cut plans?'' If you look at it, a lot of those resources were used to give middle-class and working-class Americans more take-home pay.”
“Donald Trump's Economic Policy” [delivered] The highest take-home pay in this country in a generation, 1.5 percent inflation, and peace and security around the world to boot,” Vance said.
President Trump's policies will also reduce housing costs for Americans, Vance said. We just can't afford that since we brought in millions of illegal immigrants to compete with Americans for scarce housing. ”
Vance didn't specifically mention it. I'm referring to America's white-collar salaries, which have also lost value due to immigration, housing, taxes, and trade policy. However, if the media expands the discussion on wages, it is likely to expand to the issue of stagnant salaries for American college graduates.
