Dems Need ‘Introspection,’ We Can’t ‘Pretend’ Trump Won Because He’s ‘a Better Liar’

Democratic strategist Donna Brazile said Sunday on ABC's “This Week” that the party can no longer pretend that President-elect Donald Trump won because he is “a better liar.” Ta.

Brazil said, “The truth is, we put everything on the table, what happened, what happened in New Jersey on election night, when Chris and I were sitting there, and I “It means we need to do some deep introspection about what happened when we saw Chris like this.” Hey, what's going on? What was happening in Minnesota? Of course, what was going on in Massachusetts and Rhode Island? ”

She continued, “Trump not only improved his numbers in the battleground states we were talking about on election night, he improved by three to four points. He improved in the inner cities, he improved in the suburbs. So , Trump seems to have implemented the 50-state strategy that Democrats used to talk about. So we can talk about the message, we can also talk about the map. We can also talk about “Was 107 days enough?” You can.

Brazilian added: “All these things should be on the table. We're going to do a lot of self-reflection. What I want to say is, Democrats, eight years ago, Donald Trump defeated Hillary Clinton. When I was there, we looked at ourselves and said, Oh my God. I tried sewing it together with mer glue. It took duct tape and a lot of other things. We have to do a better job of appealing to the voters and just Donald Trump. Don't try to pretend like you won the election just because you're a better liar.”
