Mob mocks, posts TikTok video of injured cop flung from fleeing woman’s car

A crowd of jubilant onlookers laughed, jeered and disrupted a video show as a police officer lay unconscious on the ground after being thrown from a speeding car while trying to arrest a woman in Texas early Friday morning.

The Beaumont video first shows the woman running across the parking lot, jumping into a convertible, and being chased by police.

As the officer jumped into the back seat of the car and tried to stop it, the woman stepped on the gas pedal, throwing the officer head-first onto the pavement.

A crowd of young onlookers laughed and cheered as the officer, who suffered severe head injuries, lay unconscious on the ground, authorities said.

“Yo, yo! Police! Step on my man!” someone jeered as a convertible pulled out of the parking lot.

Police subsequently arrested the suspected driver of the vehicle, 28-year-old Jameisha Butler, and booked her on charges of DUI assault and evading custody, both of which were released to peace officers, the Beaumont Police Department said in a Facebook post. It was announced that he was seriously injured.

The injured police officer was rushed to a nearby hospital and was treated for a cerebral hemorrhage, but his condition is said to be stable. KDFM reported.

As the video spread on social media, commenters also joined in the disgusting ridicule.

“The guy thought he was Paul Blart,” one commenter said, referring to the clumsy security guard played by Kevin James in the comedy “Mall Cop.”

Another wrote: “He said I'm just lying here and pretending nothing happened.”

Police also arrested another woman involved in the disturbance, 22-year-old Melissa Bell, according to KDFM. At one point, the woman is suspected of kicking and kneeing an officer as she tried to escort him to a squad car.

Both Butler and Bell had previous arrests. Bell was arrested on recent charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, obstructing official business, assault on a peace officer and outstanding warrants, police said.
