In a government-wide memo, OMB directed all agencies on Tuesday to place DEIA-related employees on administrative leave, fire them from the federal government, and begin work to “eliminate all outward media coverage” regarding these programs. It was announced later.

This followed an executive order that President Trump signed on his first day in office “coordinating the end of all discriminatory programs.”

Wednesday's memo also emphasized the Trump administration's stance on all diversity programs.

“These programs divide Americans along racial lines, waste taxpayer dollars, and result in shameful discrimination,” the magazine said.
