Trump Using Trade to Address ‘Chemical Warfare Against the American People’

The fentanyl crisis is not a drug crisis, but a “chemical war on Americans,” says Sen. Addison McDowell (R-NC). Saturday Breitbart News.

We discuss how President Donald Trump uses trade to help force Mexico and Canada to secure borders. This will stop the flow of fentanyl to the country. Mcdowell said the issue was hit close to home for him as he lost his brother.

“My brother died of fentanyl poisoning in 2016. He was 20. It's fentanyl that almost certainly appeared through the southern border. And although this isn't unique to me, I am. I personally know what this is,” he said. He said Friday was his brother's 29th birthday.

“It's before my heart and it's something I had to learn to live with and I don't have to,” he said. He told Trump he was, “You're the only person who takes borders seriously, you're 100% behind you, and that person is me.”

“I know the pain that these kinds of things cause,” he said, adding that Democrats are making excuses.

“We voted for the Congressional Suspension Fentanyl Act this week. 107 Democrats voted against it. And we're discussing this on the floor. They're gonna say… “We “There's no need to send people to prisons about this.” I would rather not be in prison than my brother die, but so much so. It doesn't seem to get that,” he said.

“And that's – this is not a drug crisis. It's a chemical war on the American people, fueled by the cartel and the Chinese Communist Party, and President Trump is accountable to them,” McDowell said. .

“And of course, I have his back… he knows the art of trading, people panicked about these tariffs, but look, the man is a negotiator. It's And I have his back because he's accountable to them, and Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, that's what they need to tackle. I have his back because I didn't think there was anything,” he added.
