On CNN's “Source” aired on Friday, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer (d) said that issues with biological men playing women's sports should be determined by the league and region, and that “I am.” “We see what we can do.” The executive order on the Donald Trump case lamented, “We spend all our time talking about less than 0.2% of our country's population.”
Host Kaitlan Collins said, “How is your state handling this executive order? Maine feels it is inconsistent with their own state law. They prevent discrimination. We have human rights laws. How does the state treat this? Do they consider executive orders from the president to be law?”
“I'm a sports fan. I'm not a big fan of baseball designated batters. I don't tell a small league whether I have a designated batter. If that's up to me, I'd be designated They'll say there are no batters. But I think leagues and schools should make their own choices. This is true for this issue. Let the league and local community groups decide what they want to do. Please. When they mandate all this and all about it, I did not like it as a school teacher. We, as governors of our country, often at this age and age, I think we are especially the last line of defense and we need to govern with compassion. We need to protect the most vulnerable. But for these difficult issues, it is certainly local control. We have to give it a little. So I don't know – we'll see what the President mandates this and it, and what we can do.”
Collins said, “Do you believe that essentially should not be dealt with at the federal level?”
“Yeah, I think why – there are very different opinions across the country about this, and we're talking about less than 0.2% of our country's population. We We've spent all our time talking about this when schools are really struggling.
