A former Indiana High School teacher was arrested and charged with several child sex offences. Court documents also allegedly claiming a former teacher whose children were allegedly exposed to stripper poles, adult toys and drugs.
WXIN-TV Brittany Fortinberry, 31, reported that she contributed to counting three felony sexual misconduct with minors, spreading issues that were harmful to minors, and delinquency among minors.
The boy said some of the victims were considering talking about what happened, while others said they “didn't want to talk about it.”
Fortinbury is a former teacher with the Eminence Community School in Morgan County, about 40 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
According to Morgan County Websitethe district is “one of the smallest independent public schools in Indiana, serving between 300 and 350 students each year, serving elementary and middle school/high school.”
Eminence Community School Corporation has been released statement “On the evening of August 22, 2024, there was a report that employee Brittany Fortinberry was engaged in inappropriate behavior against two students.”
School administrators immediately reported the charges to Indiana Children's Services and local law enforcement agencies.
The Eminence Community School Corporation suspended Fortinbury on the same day that allegations of sexual misconduct surfaced.
The next day, Fortinbury reportedly resigned from her leadership location.
Court documents show that two students reported Fortinberry in August by sending inappropriate messages and videos. Court documents say one student allegedly claimed that the teacher said he dreamed of having sex with the student.
According to Wishteff“Students told investigators that Fortinberry sent a video of her sex toy, stripper pole and Instagram messenger with sexually charged images. They said she sent it. [the material] Messages have been automatically deleted via “Vanish” mode. Both students said they found it uncomfortable. ”
WTTV-TV A search warrant was executed at the Fortinbury home, and officials reported finding stripper poles and adult toys that resemble student descriptions.
According to newly released court documents, the grandmother of the teenager's notification authorities allegedly had his then 15-year-old grandson sexually abused by Fortinbury in December 2024. Grandmother reportedly told detectives that Fortinberry had abused the boy multiple times after making him a friend on the Snapchat messaging app and then sending him nude photos of himself.
Grandmother claimed that Fortinberry had taken her grandson.
Court documents say her grandmother alleged that Fortinberry had supplied drugs to minors and showered with him.
Grandmother reportedly told investigators that if the juvenile told anyone about the alleged illegal relationship, the former teacher also threatened to kill herself.
The suspect told detectives he estimated that Fortinbury had abused at least five or as many as 10 children, court documents say.

According to court documents.”[The boy] He said that it is no different from a 30-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl. [The boy] He said it was child abuse and he is there because he doesn't want her to abuse more children. ”
Police reportedly said the juvenile's statement was consistent with claims from the original investigation.
