Oxon Hill, Maryland — Florida GOP Governor Ron Desantis was outspoken about his wife's governor's ambitions on Friday.
“She's either as conservative or conservative as me,” DeSantis, 46, said of his wife Casey at the national review idea summit at Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center outside of Washington, D.C.
Casey DeSantis, 44, is reportedly trying to solidify her spouse's political dynasty in the sun. This is the highest of potential major candidates ahead of the 2026 governor race.
Florida's First Lady will take office in January 2027, praising her husband for a term-limited term.
“This guy is a goat [Greatest of All Time]Casey said. “I've been focused on politics, and I've seen a lot of people. Not many people have a backbone like him.”
“Because everything he did is so vulnerable,” she said. “You can put someone in and you can put all of this back together.”
Casey then added:
A source close to First Lady said Casey became the first female CEO in Florida history in February in the third DeSantis terminology race in Tallahassee.
“She's just as ambitious as he is,” one source said. “They have always seen themselves as new and emerging political powers. She's considering running and talking about the possibilities with many different people. She really wants that.”
President Trump has already approved Byron Donald (R-FLA), the only candidate declared in the GOP contest, giving him the advantage in the state that won 13 percent points for the 47th president in 2024.
Wilton Simpson, a Florida agricultural commissioner who was in conflict with DeSantis over immigration policy, is also rumored to be taking part in the running.
Early in the debate, Ron DeSantis said right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh once said, “She should be governor” after seeing former Golf Channel host and Jacksonville area news anchor Casey speaks at the event.
At the time, Casey Black met Ron DeSantis at the golf course at the Navy Station Mayport, and in 2009 they got married at Disney World.
Casey DeSantis also lay down in other politicians.
“They're going to take office. They want to do good things. They don't want to be criticized. They like cocktail parties. “The founders didn't think politics was a career, right?”
The governor's wife sat at the venue centre stage and submitted other questions from Gerati about reducing government spending and establishing a cancer research program and related fund for those seeking treatment in her state.
